These are GREAT pet beds! – We have one for each of our two Labradors and they just love ‘em! BTW, there IS a subtle trick to assembling them; i.e., you MUST keep ALL bolts loose right up to the final one that connects the second of the two spreader bars to the leg frames. When you’re ready to insert the last bolt, situate the bed so that only three legs touch the floor and, then, LEFT THAT LAST LEG UP ABOUT SIX INCHES – JUST ENOUGH TO RELIEVE THE STRESS IN THE COOLAROO FABRIC!!! Then wiggle that LAST bolt through the leg frame into the crossbar and tighten it JUST enough to hold the entire assembly together. FINALLY, using a couple of phone books or someone’s “spare foot”, keep the corner diagonal to the one with the last bolt you just “wiggled” into place DOWN ON THE FLOOR and s.t.r.e.t.c.h. the cover taut by forcing the LAST LEG DOWN onto the floor and into proper alignment with the other three legs! … NOW! – TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS! … Simple, huh?
I initially ordered the medium Coolaroo based on a review from someone with a 60lb. dog. Unfortunately, it’s much too small for my 50lb. lab mix, so I’ll have to exchange it for the large bed.

This is not a dog bed. There isn’t any cushion to this item. It is a dog mat. It does have a water proof backing and a chenille type material on top. I thought I was buying a bed but what I got was a cage mat to lay on the bottom of my dogs crate. If you are looking for a bed, don’t buy this item. I gave it three stars because the quality is good but the item description is deceiving.
This is nothing more than a rectangle of black plush fabric. There are no raised edges on it to give the pet a feel of it being a “bed”. I really wish they had an image of this before I bought it, but hopefully this review will prevent any of you from making the same mistake.
This would serve OK as a mat inside a pet carrier or dog house and will suit UP TO a medium size dog. It IS only , but whether or not that is worth it is up to you. I reckon a scrap from a fabric store would be just about as sufficient.

This is a great little pet bed! I have a hairless dog who tends to get a bit…well, VERY chilly in the winter. I have seen these beds before, but they seemed a little pricey (-60). Finally, I looked up burrow beds on Amazon, and here it was!
When the bed arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The outside is made of a thick, almost upholstry-type fabric, and it is lined with faux-lambswool. The bed part is so cushy and inviting, I couldn’t help but stick my head in there! The cover is stiff enough to provide an envelope for your pet to crawl into, but it folds around them nicely, like a thick blankie.
It is machine washable, a definate plus! The color is similar to the picture: kind of a cadet blue with a subtle stripe pattern, and the inside is cream colored. My pup had NO reservations about heading in there! I tossed a toy in it and she ran right in! She’s in there as I type this, poking her nose out every so often to say “THANKSMOM!”
A great buy for chilly pets–now if they could only make one in MY size!
This bed is wonderful for dogs that love to burrow under the covers. It is washable and has a hidden zipper in the back of the bed under the burrow portion where the inside pillow may be removed. The bed is completely encased with fabric!!

We’ve tried a few different types and both of our dogs love this one. Easy to remove cover and clean. We rolled them up and took them with us on a road trip and it worked great. They would definately give it 5 stars!
I guess I assumed between the name Coleman and the looks of the picture I was getting a more …. substantial dog bed. It is not as thick as it looks in the pictures, although dogs will still lay on it. I am keeping one for my dogs, but am not happy enough to give the second one away as a present and am returning it.
