My sister’s cat was in the habit of pushing her separate water and food bowls around the kitchen and living room…. spilling a lot in the process. I have the regular-sized version of the Store-N-Feed, and recommended the Jr size to my sister. At the very least, she could put something heavy in the storage area to weigh it down, so it wouldn’t be so easy for her cat to push it around.

Turns out, simply having this Junior feeder solved the problem of the bowl scooting. Something about its size or weight, I don’t know which, but the cat doesn’t want to scoot it around. My sister is very happy she purchased this feeder, and bought another for her new kitten.

Convenience at a minimal price. I have a large dog food bin in the garage and created one for kitty litter (since I buy both in bulk and prefer to offload the large bags especially since the former can attract mice). Before these I had to remember to take the scoop from my smaller kitchen dog food bin to the garage and back again and now I have scoops for all 3. My wife and I bought two. One for our dog food container and another for our cat food container (both are also Iris products). It takes two scoop for the dogs’ food, and 1 scoop for the cats’ food. The measurements in the scoop would be nice if we needed to use them. Maybe we’ll have to resort to that if we need to put our pets on portion control! Scoop is good, sturdy plastic, and is easy to clean.

I have two cats, and as most households with multiple cats or dogs know, pet food dispensers and bowl areas can become quite messy. I had already bought the Petmate Le Bistro (Small) water and food dispenser. My two cats are very messy eaters so it was always fustrating for me to constantly pick up kibble crumbs before it goes everywhere. Along with that my little cats loved to move the water bowl serveral times a day and water would be everywhere. I was down to my wits end and decided to go out and buy a food mat. The ones that were in the store didn’t look like it would keep the mats in place so I went online and found these.

I LOVE these mats! First off, the mats are made of a non-slip rubber so it will stay in place. The ribbing inside the mat ensures that any kibble falling on the mat will not go anywhere else. The ribbing also helps keep the food & water dispensers in place. Thus ensuring that the water bowl will not tip over or move around much. Even if water does slosh around and ends up on the mat, the mat does a very good job of keeping the water inside the mat ribbing. Clean up is a breeze. Since I have bought these mats, I have not had to constantly clean my cats’ food area. Definitely a great buy!

I bought the large but wish it were still larger as my cat is a real pig about eating her food and I have a very large Petmate water bowl/food dish set that takes up a lot of the mat space. If your dishes are smaller then this is probably just the right size. She likes to take a bite, pull back and eat it out of the dish. So annoying, and messy on the floor. This mat works well to protect the floor from her crumbs and falling food. It also has ribbed surface on one side so if water spills from the bowl it won’t leak out of the top of the mat. The reverse side is smooth if that is your preference. All in all an excellent pet food mat.
